Bring a zing to your Summer by drinking Mermaid Lemonade

May this year started a brand new craze in the world of coffee as Starbucks launched a brand new pink-purple swirl of a fairytale drink called The Unicorn Frappuccino. Starbucks themselves have described their drink in the most positive way they could “Magical flavors begin with sweet and fruity , then transform into pleasant sweet and sour.” Then they added that “It’s completed with whipped cream sprinkled with blue and pink fairy dust.”

This drink has received mixed reviews, and it’s one of those love-or hate-’em types of situations. We’re happy that the drink was only available for only a one week.

With that stated, the launch of a mystical drink led to the creation of a new trend that you must explore, Mermaid Lemonade. The recipe comes taken from The Glowing Fridge, and the delicious concoction tastes as good as it looks. It’s not just delicious, it’s extremely nutritious too. The Caribbean blue color comes out by spirulina, it’s an algae that’s loaded with minerals, vitamins, and antioxidants. This powder can also help to manage allergies because of its properties to reduce inflammation. In addition there’s coconut vinegar which happens to provide the same advantages to apple cider vinegar.

What are you putting off? Make the lemonade drink recipe you’ve been waiting for as quickly as you can and be amazed at how quickly it transforms into the drink you’ll be drinking every day.

Mermaid Lemonade Ingredients:

3 cups of filtered water
1/2 lemon juiced
1 tablespoon coconut vinegar (or apple cider vinegar)
1 teaspoon maple syrup, alternative (or the agave nectar)
1/8-1/4 teaspoon of spirulina powder
A handful of Ice cubes

Place the lemonade in a mason-jar or any other cup you prefer mix each ingredient until mixed. It is also possible to “adult” your Mermaid Lemonade with some “spirits”.

In the final:

Simply put, when you’re at an ocean, you can create the Mermaid Lemonade. Cheers.
